Review & Description

In a tale inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth, General Eboric is none too pleased for civil war to be ended and for East and West Osland to be on the road to unification once again. Together with his wife, he plots the assassination of the king of the East, usurping the crown and reigniting the war.

But just as he is about to prove victorious over the West, barbarians invade, guided by the old pagan gods to destroy all of Osland, and he is forced to turn back and defend his ill-won kingdom. A prophecy hangs over him that is now beginning to manifest itself: "Surrender what you stole to Ayern, king of the West, or you and your kingdom shall perish in the storm."

As enemies begin to hem Eboric in on all sides, he must choose between his pride and the safety of his people. On that question hangs the fate of Osland: whether he has the strength of character to do what is right or whether his ambitions, and his wife's, will be the ruin of all.
